Heal Your Body From the Inside Out

After taking a detailed health history, we'll explore tailored healing tools—physical, emotional, spiritual, and generational—that align with your unique journey. Together, we'll design a personalized path to restore balance and honor your body’s innate wisdom. Here are some possibilities:
1. Physical Healing
Root-cause investigation: Lab testing to identify hidden imbalances and causes of inflammation—like toxins (ie heavy metals + mold), infections, or nutrient deficiencies.
Nutrition as medicine: Personalized diets rich in anti-inflammatory foods, gut-supporting fibers, and essential nutrients to boost your microbiome and immune system.
Movement and rest: A rhythm of physical activity paired with restorative sleep to regulate hormones and open up your detox pathways.
Healing Through Safe Touch: To best support your body’s natural rhythm, relieve stored tension, and accelerate detox pathways we'll decide together the best suitable healing therapy such as acupuncture, bodywork or lymphatic massage.

2. Emotional Healing
But true healing goes deeper than just the physical.
Emerging research in neuroscience and psychoneuroimmunology confirms what ancient wisdom has long known: our emotional health is inseparable from our physical health. Chronic stress, unresolved trauma, and emotional suppression can disrupt hormone balance, weaken immunity, and even alter our gut microbiome.Traditional Chinese Medicine has recognized this for thousands of years—understanding that emotional imbalances, like unexpressed grief, anger, or fear can manifest in the body as physical illness, revealing how deeply our inner state affects our physical health. Healing the body often begins with listening to the heart.
Mind-body techniques: Breathwork, EFT (tapping), and somatic experiencing to regulate the nervous system and release stored stress.
Therapeutic connection: Trauma-informed counseling or support that honors your story.
Creative expression: Art, journaling, dance or sound healing as channels for emotional processing and release.
Self-awareness: Building emotional literacy and boundary setting for safer relationships.
Unless you learn to face your own shadows, you will continue to see them in others,
because the world outside of you is only a reflection of the world inside of you.
-C. Jung

3. Spiritual Healing
Emerging research supports what many ancient traditions have long taught: that healing is multidimensional. Studies show that people with a strong sense of meaning or spiritual connection often experience better immune function, lower inflammation, and improved outcomes in chronic illness. Practices like mindfulness, gratitude, and prayer are associated with reduced stress hormone levels and enhanced emotional resilience. Traditional Chinese Medicine views spirit ("Shen") as essential to harmony in the body—when spirit is unsettled, emotional and physical imbalances often follow.
Reconnection to purpose: Exploring your values, beliefs, or calling to ignite meaning in the healing journey. What is your health for?
Sacred rituals: Meditation, prayer, time in nature—anchoring practices that create space for inner stillness and rest.
Community and faith: Being held in shared spiritual traditions or mindful communities that offer support.
Gratitude and surrender: Cultivating peace through acceptance and appreciation, even in uncertainty.

4. Generational Healing
True healing integrates the physical, emotional, and spiritual—because the body, mind, and soul are deeply interconnected. Science again confirms what ancient traditions have long taught: emotional wounds can manifest as physical illness, and spiritual disconnection can hinder our ability to fully heal.Generational healing takes this even deeper—recognizing that we may carry the unresolved pain of those who came before us. By addressing these inherited patterns, we not only restore balance within ourselves, but we also create the possibility of healing forward—for our children, and their children.
Epigenetic insight: Understanding how ancestral trauma and resilience influence your biology and your body.
Story reclamation: Exploring family narratives to uncover patterns, silence, and strength across generations with tools such as Family Constellations
Legacy tools: Creating family trees (like symptom-tracking forms) to visualize and understand generational wellness and pain.
Cultural integration: Honoring ancestral healing practices and reclaiming lost traditions.

What is Generational Healing?
Sometimes, the struggles we face aren't entirely our own—they may be echoes of unspoken stories from our family lineage. These ancestral experiences can leave an energetic and biological imprint. Like a ripple in the family soul—it flows downstream through generations until it can finally be seen, acknowledged, and healed.Through the therapeutic approach of Family Constellations, we explore how unresolved pain, grief, or burdens can pass from one generation to the next, imprinting on the body and showing up as symptoms we can no longer ignore. The idea is that love, in its fierce loyalty, can travel through generations, but so can pain and unresolved sorrow. This work offers a sacred space to uncover those inherited threads, honor them with compassion, and release what was never ours to carry. In doing so, we make space for healing, so that love and life can flow freely again.

How does this happen?
1. The Science of Epigenetics: The Body Remembers
We used to think we were stuck with the DNA we were born with, but we now know of a layer on top of our genes called the epigenome. Think of your DNA as a massive library of books. The epigenome is like a set of sticky notes and highlighters left by your ancestors, marking which books should be read loudly, which should be whispered, and which shouldn't be opened at all. When an ancestor experiences a severe trauma—like war, famine, or the sudden loss of a child—it can create intense stress that actually changes these epigenetic markers. For example, a gene related to the stress hormone cortisol might get "turned up." This change can then be passed down, meaning you might be born with a nervous system that is already primed for high alert and anxiety, even if your own life has been relatively safe. This predisposition can directly contribute to conditions like chronic inflammation, autoimmune disorders, anxiety, and depression. Your body is essentially living in the biological echo of a danger it never consciously experienced.

2. Inherited Nervous System Patterns
Beyond genetics, we learn how to regulate our nervous system in the arms of our caregivers. A baby’s nervous system attunes to its mother's. If your mother’s nervous system was dysregulated because she learned that from her mother (who perhaps lived through a great depression or with a volatile spouse), that pattern of being in a low-level state of "fight, flight, or freeze" is passed directly to you. This inherited dysregulation becomes your baseline. It means you might live with a constant, subtle tension you can’t explain. A body in this state prioritizes survival over rest and repair. This can lead to a cascade of physical issues: poor digestion (IBS), a weakened immune system (getting sick all the time), hormonal imbalances, and chronic fatigue. The illness is the body’s exhaustion from holding a state of alarm for generations.

3. Unconscious Loyalties and Systemic Burdens
This is the heart of the Family Constellations perspective. Out of a deep, innocent, and unconscious love, a child is willing to do anything to help the family system find balance. If a great injustice, a deep grief, or a terrible secret was "forgotten" or excluded from the family's awareness, a descendant may unconsciously "carry" it for them. This is not a conscious choice; it's a soul-level loyalty. This can show up as illness in very symbolic ways:
Depression or Chronic Fatigue: You might be carrying the unresolved, un-mourned grief of a grandparent who lost a child and was never able to speak of it. Your exhaustion can be related to their unwept tears.
Eating Disorders: Anorexia could be a loyalty to an ancestor who starved, or a refusal to "take in life" on behalf of someone who died young.
Autoimmune Disease: This is often seen as the body literally "attacking itself." Systemically, this can represent a deep, internal conflict where you are loyal to two opposing figures in your family—for example, both a victim and a perpetrator—and that impossible conflict is turned inward.
Unexplained Pain or Migraines: This can be the physical manifestation of a "secret" that was too painful to speak. The body holds the pressure and tension of what could not be said.

4. Learned Beliefs and Behaviors
Finally, we learn how to be in the world from our family. If our family's experience taught them that "The world is not safe," "I don't deserve to be happy,"or "I must suppress my feelings to survive, belong or to be loved." We oftentimes absorb these beliefs as unconscious truths. Living inside these beliefs creates chronic emotional and physical stress. If you believe you must always be the strong one, you might suppress your needs until your body breaks down. If you believe you don’t deserve good things, you might sabotage your health. The illness becomes the physical proof of the limiting belief you inherited.Ultimately, the illness is not a punishment or a failure. It is a messenger. It is the soul of your ancestry reaching through generations, inviting you to complete what was left undone. It is a profound, albeit painful, invitation to turn around, look at what was, and in doing so, finally set yourself free.
My Journey of Healing

My Journey Is My Why
What I offer my patients doesn't just come from my medical training at UCLA, my international missions work or 15 years of clinical experience—it’s been forged in the fire of my own healing journey. The Crash
Growing up with instability and trauma, my body began keeping score. By high school, the stress showed up as gastric ulcers. In medical school, it became full-blown chronic fatigue, brain fog, and an ADHD diagnosis—all despite “normal” lab results. With no answers from conventional medicine, my body finally forced me to stop and look at my health holistically. What were my symptoms trying to tell me?The Turning Point
In deep desperation, I turned to God and the support of my faith community. Through that journey, I came to understand that the root of my symptoms was not just physical—it was emotional and spiritual. I was carrying layers of unspoken pain, not only from my own life, but inherited through generations. As I engaged in profound healing and released the trauma stored in my body—layer by layer—clarity emerged, symptoms began to ease.Return to Vitality
As my healing deepened, my vitality returned—I journeyed to 65 countries, offered medical care around the world, cycled 50 miles a day, danced salsa for hours, and supported survivors of sex trafficking on their path to recovery. My Guiding Truth
Through my own journey of healing I’ve learned this:
The Wound is where the Light enters you. Healing is a journey of transforming pain into wisdom. We don’t heal by supressing the symptoms or pain—we heal by understanding what it’s been trying to teach us.Your body is wise—and it’s been speaking all along. If you’re ready to start reclaiming your vitality, I’m here to walk beside you.

Testimonials

"From our first visit, Dr. Liang took the time to truly listen—not just to my daughter's symptoms, but also to her experiences, triggers, and lifestyle factors. Her integrative approach combined nutritional insights, gut health support, and individualized treatment plans, rather than just masking symptoms.Within weeks, we started seeing real improvements. Not just in her skin, but in her overall well-being—better sleep, improved digestion, calmer moods and greater focus. More importantly, Dr. Liang helped us find safer, sustainable solutions that avoided the risks of topical steroid dependency. As both a father and a physician, I deeply appreciate her dedication to uncovering root causes and empowering patients with long-term healing strategies. Thank you Dr. Liang- you are truly one of a kind."

"When my 6-year-old daughter cut her head open at a local playground, Dr. Liang was the first person we called while we were waiting at the pediatric ER. My daughter was very scared and anxious. Dr. Liang encouraged her over the phone with her kind, loving and reassuring voice, and said a prayer of blessing over her. As Dr. Liang spoke, my daughter’s countenance changed. By the time we hung up, her fear and anxiety disappeared completely. Then (and I’ll never forget this) she hopped out of her seat and walked over to another little girl in the waiting room who seemed sad. They were soon fast friends and played until they were seen for treatment. I credit Dr. Liang’s loving encouragement and reassurance for transforming what was a very traumatic experience into a beautiful one."

"Dr. Liang doesn’t just treat my symptoms—she teaches, empowers, and changes the way I understand my health. As someone who feels everything deeply, I’ve often struggled with the anxiety of unexplained discomfort. But she has this rare ability to make complex concepts feel intuitive, even comforting. She’s known for her famous drawings, and the first time she sketched one for me, it was like a lightbulb went off. She drew the eustachian tube, which helped me realize how interconnected everything was—how digestion, immune response, and inflammation all played a role in what I was feeling.Dr. Liang’s care goes beyond prescribing solutions—she gives me the knowledge and practical tools to take charge of my health and my family’s well-being. As a mother and as someone who craves deep understanding, she is the kind of doctor every parent hopes to find."
- JD, MFT
"After months of watching our teenage son struggle with anxiety, insomnia, chest pain, and stomach issues—despite countless medical appointments and specialists—we finally found hope with Dr. Liang. Her approach not only addressed his physical symptoms but helped him uncover emotional stress as the underlying cause. Through her incredible care, our son experienced remarkable relief, both mentally and physically. Today, he sleeps soundly, smiles often, and feels like himself again. Dr. Liang didn’t just heal our son— she brought healing to our entire family. She is a miracle worker."

"Working with Dr. Liang has been one of the most profound and transformative experiences of my life. I’ve explored many healing modalities, but none have been as efficient or deeply impactful as the work I did with her. There were times I arrived feeling disconnected from my body and emotions, uncertain about how to move forward. Yet, through her gentle and compassionate guidance, Dr. Liang helped me become grounded—fully present with every part of myself.Healing can be vulnerable, requiring trust and openness. Dr. Liang’s caring demeanor creates a safe space to explore both the unknown and the long-buried. With patience and encouragement, she has gently guided me to revisit places in my heart I had hidden away for too long.I am forever grateful for her wisdom, kindness, and ability to help me embrace the healing journey with confidence."

"I recently had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Juliana. I shared with her some of my heart struggles in regards to my son’s journey and with his issues with eczema. She didn’t skip a beat and prayed for my son. It was a very powerful prayer. When I returned home the next day, my son took a shower and said, “look no scratches” and the next morning he said, “look at my skin no scratches, it feels soft.” After this morning I told him that Juliana prayed for him and then we both prayed together 🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭 I didn’t prompt him to say anything about his body to me both times. I’m very grateful for Dr. Juliana’s kindness, understanding, and intentional prayer."
-YG, Mom of Two Kids
"Dr. Liang is trustworthy. She honors the sacredness of me as an individual and intentionally creates a safe space to do the deep, cleansing work of healing. I have shared the parts of me that I saw as ugly, and she helped me to stop judging myself, to have self-compassion, and gain a deeper understanding of the "why" behind many actions and emotions. In each session I know that I am seen, heard, and fully accepted."
- CJ, University Instructor
"Dr. Liang's approach is unique, because she draws from both traditional and non-traditional modalities AND integrates the spiritual with the emotional aspects of physical healing. With this integrated approach, I am evolving into the fullness of ALL of me.
I am forever grateful for this journey of discovery and growth, and I would highly recommend Dr. Liang to anyone seeking real, lasting transformation in their body, mind and spirit."
